I studied Elementary School Teaching at the University of Ostrava. Throughout my professional journey, I have gained experience in both Czech and international school environments, including a Montessori school and the Czech School Without Borders in London. I also found valuable inspiration for my work with children in New Zealand, where I was able to broaden my perspective on education and on the many different ways children can explore the world around them.
At Maple Bear Brno, I bring energy, openness, and a willingness to explore new approaches that help children grow with joy and confidence. I believe that every child should have the opportunity to discover, experiment, and learn at their own pace. I feel deeply connected to the motto Help me do it by myself, because independence, trust in one’s own abilities, and natural curiosity are, to me, an essential part of a child’s development. In my free time, I enjoy dancing, travelling, doing sports, and enjoying a good cup of tea, as these moments also bring me inspiration and joy that I carry into my work with children.
I am originally from Minneapolis, USA, and I have four years of teaching experience, primarily in third grade. Throughout my teaching practice, I have worked with children from a variety of cultural backgrounds, which has deepened my passion for supporting multilingual learners and creating an environment where every child can grow naturally. In my work, I see education as not only about academic learning, but also about building relationships, trust, and a sense of safety that allows children to truly thrive.
At Maple Bear Brno, I bring creativity, openness, and a genuine joy for discovery. I enjoy planning meaningful and engaging projects and excursions, such as museum visits, that help children learn through real experiences and deeper connections. I believe that when children feel safe, accepted, and part of a supportive classroom community, they are able to reach their full potential. In my free time, I enjoy photography, running, travelling, and spending time with my family, all of which bring inspiration into my work with children.
I hold a degree in Special Education from Palacký University Olomouc. Throughout my professional journey, I have worked with children in the Czech Republic, Switzerland, and Uganda, where I was involved not only in teaching, but also in training local teachers. These experiences have given me a broader perspective on education and strengthened my belief in how important it is to see each child as an individual and to approach them with respect, understanding, and openness.
At Maple Bear Brno, I bring a strong focus on individual support, a sensitive understanding of children’s needs, and a commitment to creating an environment where every child feels safe and accepted. I believe that the key to supporting children lies in truly understanding them and building relationships based on trust. What fulfills me most is guiding children in a way that helps them develop their strengths, experience joy in learning, and grow at their own pace. In my free time, I enjoy travelling, sports, baking, and playing the violin, as these activities also bring me inspiration and energy for my work with children.
I studied Social Pedagogy and Counselling with a focus on working with children and young people, social risk prevention, and supporting education in inclusive settings. At Maple Bear Brno, I work as a teaching assistant, where I bring together my academic background and a naturally caring, empathetic approach to children every day. I believe that a safe, supportive, and respectful environment is an essential foundation for children to learn well, grow with confidence, and truly feel happy at school.
At Maple Bear Brno, I bring kindness, sensitivity, and a genuine interest in the needs of each child. What fulfills me most is being a steady source of support for children in their everyday classroom life and helping to create an atmosphere where they feel accepted and able to grow with trust and confidence. I come from Choceň, and in my free time I enjoy dancing, low-cost travel, backpacking, and spending time in nature, which helps me recharge and find inspiration.
I studied English and German as a teacher and during my professional career I have also taught Czech as a second language. I have experience teaching pre-school and school-age children as well as adults, and I still enjoy working with people from different backgrounds. Thanks to languages and teaching experience, I realize how important it is to create an environment in which everyone feels accepted and has the space to develop their skills at their own pace.
In my work, I follow the idea of Nelson Mandela: “Education is the most powerful weapon we can use to change the world.” I believe that education is not only about acquiring knowledge, but also about getting to know ourselves, other people and the world around us. As a teaching assistant, I want to support children, help them overcome everyday challenges and create an environment together with teachers in which they can grow with confidence and joy.
I come from Jablonec nad Nisou, but I have been living in Brno for ten years, and in my free time I like to travel, meet new people and cultures and, of course, teach. Places I like to return to include the Philippines, India and Nepal. I love spring, sushi and sweets of almost all kinds.
I graduated in single-subject psychology. After graduation, I worked mainly with the adult population in a clinical environment. At Maple Bear, I work as a coordinator of a club. In my work, I put emphasis primarily on creating sufficient space for children’s autonomy while respecting the basic rules.
What I enjoy most about the after-school club is the imagination and curiosity of the children and their ability to create countless ways to have fun together and independently. I try to provide children with a safe environment in which they can relax, play and at the same time casually learn, for example, cooperation, caring for others or developing their skills and independence. In my free time, I do sports and spend time with my loved ones.
My name is Petra and working with children is a natural and meaningful part of life for me. I got into teaching in an unconventional way – I graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts, where I focused on textiles, sculpture and other forms of fine arts. It was creativity, freedom of creation and a deeper interest in people that gradually led me to work with children. In my teaching practice, I therefore like to combine creativity, movement, independence and respect for the individuality of each child. I often rely on my experience with the Montessori method. And I use Montessori elements myself
Living abroad was also an important experience for me. I have lived in England, Romania, Denmark and almost three years in Switzerland. I like to get to know new cultures, places and people, and I try to promote the same curiosity, openness and respect for differences in children.
Mountains, movement and adventure are a big part of my life. I do skiing, cycling and other activities that help you overcome yourself and step out of your comfort zone. I also take long-distance and multi-day expeditions on my bike, during which I ride through different countries and discover new places. These experiences teach me perseverance, independent decision-making and the ability to deal with unexpected situations – skills that I consider important even when working with children
I believe that children learn best through their own experience – when they can try things, create, move, ask, make mistakes and find their way again. In my work, I therefore try to create a safe and stimulating environment in which children gain not only new knowledge and skills, but also confidence in their own abilities, the courage to try new things and the joy of discovering the world.
I am energetic, creative, empathetic and curious. I am most happy when I see that a child has managed something on their own, overcame their fear or has just discovered an activity that they really enjoy.
I studied special education with a specialization in speech therapy and speech therapy at Masaryk University. During my studies, I gained experience working with children in kindergartens and primary schools, where I had the opportunity to get to know different environments and the needs of individual children. I also worked at a clinic, where I participated in EEG biofeedback therapies for children.
When working with children, respect, a safe environment and an individual approach are especially important to me. I try to perceive their needs, interests and personality and give them space to develop at their own pace.
What I enjoy about working in the after-school club is its diversity – I like to create with the children, talk to them and come up with various activities.
In my free time, I like to read, create, go for walks and go on trips to nature.
I studied social pedagogy and education in Trnava, Slovakia, and during my studies and practice, I worked with children in children’s homes and after-school clubs. In addition, I am currently expanding my education in the field of psychology through distance learning. I have had a very close relationship with languages since high school. I graduated from a bilingual grammar school focused on French and spent part of my studies in France, where I was deeply inspired by the local distinctive approach to teaching.
I work as an educator at Maple Bear. In my work, I put emphasis on creativity, curiosity and healthy self-confidence. It is important for me to sensitively guide the child to develop his full potential. I believe that with time spent together and proper guidance, children can naturally grow and discover their abilities.
What I enjoy most about working in a day care center is the opportunity to watch children discover their own strengths and unique talents. I try to provide children with a welcoming and stimulating environment in which they can naturally deepen their interests, pursue what they enjoy and fully develop the things in which they literally shine. It is also important for me to give children the confidence to be able to make their own decisions and take responsibility for their choices, which helps them build healthy self-confidence. At the same time, I want to be close to the children as a support, but primarily I leave them enough space to try out individual challenges on their own, learn from their own experiences and gain faith in their abilities.
I come from the vicinity of Trenčín in Slovakia and in my free time I do sports such as fencing, climbing or dancing. I also like to create and make costumes and props. My favorite activities include traveling, during which I always like to read a good book or listen to a psychology podcast. I moved to Brno to live with my partner and I plan to finish my studies here.
I have been working in childcare and administration since completing my studies. I studied Social Work at the Secondary School of Industry in Brno. Throughout my professional journey, I worked as a caregiver in a children’s group, where I was responsible for daily childcare, supporting children’s development, and contributing to their learning. At the same time, I was also involved in the administrative side of the centre, which gave me valuable experience not only in working directly with children, but also in organisation, coordination, and the smooth running of everyday operations.
At Maple Bear Brno, I bring together experience in working with children, strong organisational skills, and a natural sense for communication. What fulfills me most is being part of a school where I can help create a welcoming, professional, and well-functioning environment for children, parents, and colleagues. I look forward to supporting the school’s marketing and communication, helping organise visits and events, and contributing to the everyday life of the community. I believe that open communication, thoughtful organisation, and a friendly atmosphere play an important role in how families experience school life. In my free time, I enjoy sports, travelling, and spending time with my family and friends.
I graduated from the Faculty of Sports Studies at Masaryk University with a degree in Physical Education and Sport. After completing my studies, I gained extensive experience as a physical education teacher at both primary and secondary schools, where I was also involved in school projects and administrative support. I further developed my experience through coaching in a gymnastics club, managing club administration, and working in a kindergarten. These roles have given me a broad perspective on school life and have shown me how important it is to connect teaching, organisation, and everyday support for children.

I have dedicated my entire professional career to education. I began as a teacher and later contributed to the development of textbooks for secondary schools. For more than eleven years, I worked at Scio, where I led the innovative digitalisation of university entrance examinations using artificial intelligence algorithms. I have also gained experience through international research and commercial international projects. I am the author of a successful tool designed to support the development of emotional intelligence in preschool children, and I have repeatedly shared my expertise on this topic in the media.
At Maple Bear Brno, I bring to life my vision of high-quality, modern, and meaningful education. I believe that a school should be a place where children not only gain knowledge, but also grow as individuals, learn to think critically, collaborate, and better understand themselves and others. I hold degrees in English Language and Early Childhood Education, and my professional path has been closely connected with working with children from the very beginning. I come from Winnipeg, Manitoba, where I grew up and attended public schools, which gave me a strong foundation in the Canadian approach to education. Since childhood, I have had a deep love for literature, language, and storytelling, and this passion naturally became part of my work as a teacher. In my teaching, I focus on developing children’s reading, writing, and communication skills, and I believe that children learn best when they are actively involved, engaged, and encouraged to explore the world in their own way.
At Maple Bear Brno, I bring not only my knowledge of the Canadian education system, but also creativity, enthusiasm for learning, and a caring, thoughtful approach to each child. I see education as much more than academic achievement alone, and I place great importance on children’s social, emotional, and physical well-being as well. What fulfills me most is creating an environment where children feel safe, confident to try new things, and gradually discover both their own strengths and the joy of learning.
I have been working in marketing for nearly ten years and, throughout my professional journey, I have gained extensive experience, including on international projects. In the past, I led the entire marketing team at Oscar Senior, which gave me valuable expertise in strategic leadership, communication, and brand building. My professional background has also led me to speak at a number of prestigious Czech and international conferences, including Engage Conference and DEX Innovation Conference.
At Maple Bear Brno, I lead marketing with a focus on meaningful and authentic communication that reflects the values of the school. At the same time, it is important to me to be there for children and parents who are considering our school and looking for a place where they can feel comfortable and confident. In my work, I bring creativity, years of experience, and a strong sense for relationships, because I believe that open and human communication is one of the foundations of a strong school community.
I studied Elementary Education at the University of North Carolina Wilmington and during my studies I had the opportunity to spend a year at the University of Malta, where I learned about different approaches to education in an international environment. I was naturally drawn to working with children from adolescence – for example, I was involved in basketball coaching, working at summer camps or tutoring and creating with children who needed support.
After moving to Brno in 2020, I gained experience in various educational settings. I worked as an English teacher in a Reggio Emilia kindergarten, worked with children at an international primary school, and later I also started my own business in the field of teaching English. Thanks to these experiences, I really liked the bilingual environment and working with children. Now I am very happy to return to everyday life in the classroom.
In my work, I build primarily on kindness, patience and empathy. I believe that when children feel safe, respected and accepted, they gain the courage to try new things, discover their abilities and learn with joy. Therefore, when planning lessons, I look for a balance between promoting new knowledge, stimulating curiosity and enough space for fun and shared joy of learning. My goal is not only to pass on knowledge to children, but also to support their natural desire to learn and discover the world, which will accompany them outside of school.
I come from the island of Nantucket in the USA. In my free time, I like to embroider gifts for my friends and I am most pleased with spring, when nature wakes up again after winter. I like to travel and one of my favorite places is Lake Formarinsee in Austria. I love yogurt with fresh fruit, granola, honey and peanut butter, but I also don’t disdain New York cheesecake. From music, I like to listen to Sandy Crow, Olivia Dean, Harry Styles or Billie Martin.
I hold a degree in Teaching and Special Education from Masaryk University. Throughout my professional journey, I have gained teaching experience in both Czech and international environments, including a placement at a British school. These experiences have given me a broader perspective on education and have strengthened my belief in the importance of adapting learning to the needs of each individual child while creating a supportive and stimulating environment.

My goal is for children to come to school with joy and to feel comfortable, safe, and happy there. In my free time, I enjoy travelling, learning languages, and making music, as these interests continue to inspire me and enrich the way I work with children.
I hold a degree in Education from the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa, and I also have a TEFL qualification. I joined Maple Bear as a Grade Zero teacher, building on my previous experience teaching first-year students. Education has always been close to my heart, both professionally and personally, and throughout my journey, I have come to value how important it is to guide children with care through their first experiences at school.
At Maple Bear Brno, I find great meaning in supporting children on their educational journey and helping them discover the world with joy, confidence, and a love of learning. I care deeply about creating a classroom where every child feels safe, actively engaged, and able to grow at their own pace in a positive and stimulating environment. I also look forward to working closely with parents, because I believe that an open and respectful relationship between school and family plays an important role in a child’s development. In my free time, I enjoy painting, bouldering, and playing board games, which bring creativity, joy, and fresh inspiration into my work with children.
I graduated with a master’s degree focused on preschool and primary pedagogy and further expanded my education with postgraduate studies in psychotraumatology. I have been working with children for many years – I have experience in kindergarten and teaching at the 1st level, where I worked as a class teacher and pedagogue in grades 1–3. I taught Polish, reading literacy, mathematics, science and social sciences. At the same time, I pass on my experience through workshops and professional education for teachers.
In my work, I believe that every child grows best in a safe, supportive and inspiring environment. In the zero grade, it is important for me to create a space in which children gain self-confidence, discover their abilities and naturally build a positive relationship with learning. I want to support children in their curiosity, independence and joy of discovery, while helping them prepare for the next step of their educational journey.
I come from Warsaw, Poland and in my free time I enjoy psychotraumatology, dance and music. I like to travel, my favorite places are Door County in Wisconsin and Białogóra in Poland. I like pizza, pierogi and ice cream desserts. From music, I like to listen to Ewa Farna, and from the seasons I like spring and summer the most.
I graduated from high school with a focus on preschool pedagogy and then continued to study English and English translation. Working with children accompanied me during my studies, when I worked as a leader at summer camps and led leisure activities focused on playing the recorder and music. After graduation, I worked as a kindergarten teacher for a year, where I gained valuable experience in everyday work with preschool children.
In my work, I put emphasis on empathy and respect for children’s emotions. I believe that every child has their own feelings that deserve to be heard and taken seriously. It is also important for me to appreciate children’s achievements and perceive mistakes as a natural part of learning and discovery. In my opinion, children benefit from a regular rhythm and a clear structure, as well as a kind, supportive and positive environment in which they can feel safe and gradually gain more confidence and independence.
I come from Litoměřice and in my free time I play the piano and guitar, listen to music and bake. Music is close to me in many forms, from rock and metal to pop to Czech classics. Therefore, English and music education are among my favorite subjects.
