Open day with demonstration lesson
Come and get to know the Maple Bear Brno Primary School in person. You will see what teaching looks like here, get to know our teachers and environment, and get the opportunity to ask about everything that is important to you when choosing a school.
Open days always at 3:00 p.m.:
- 21/10/2026 | 12/11/2026 | 10/12/2026 | 14/1/2027 | 4/2/2027
Come and get to know our school
Are you looking for a school where your child will not only learn the right answers, but will learn to think, ask, cooperate and gradually gain confidence in Czech and English?
At Maple Bear, we connect the Czech educational program with the Canadian approach to education.
Children learn actively, through projects, experiments, discussions and practical activities. English is not an independent “extra subject”, but a natural part of the school day.
For parents: Get to know the school, our approach and everyday teaching (15:00 - 17:00)
We will introduce you to Maple Bear, our educational approach and what the everyday life of children at school looks like. You will see the premises, get to know our team and learn more about bilingual teaching, working in small groups, individual approach and how we lead children to independence, cooperation and thinking in context.
Of course, there will also be enough space for your questions, whether they are related to teaching, starting school, adaptation, English or the practical functioning of the school.
For children: Demonstration lesson in a naturally bilingual environment (15:00 - 16:30)
While parents are getting to know the school, children can try Maple Bear lessons themselves. They will have a demonstration lesson conducted similarly to regular teaching at our school. Children will work in Czech and English, solve simple tasks, discover, create and cooperate with others. It is not a test or entrance exam. We want children to be able to touch the new environment in peace and experience how they learn with us.
Participation is voluntary, children can join or leave at any time.
Why come now?
Applications for the school year 2027/2028 for the 1st grade are open.
Choosing a school is not just about the website, the curriculum or the number of English lessons. It is also important to see the environment, meet the teachers and see if the way we work with the school and children makes sense to you. The open day allows you to experience Maple Bear in person and get answers to questions that are often not possible to find out online. If none of the dates suit you, we will be happy to arrange an individual visit to the school with you.
Where to find us: Maple Bear Brno Primary School, Lazaretní 9, modern Nová Zbrojovka complex
