Model Classroom for Senior Kindergarten and First Grade

If you’re considering the right school for your child and want them to experience what it’s like to learn in a bilingual classroom, we warmly invite you to our model classroom sessions designed just for you and your little ones!

✍️ Model Classroom for Senior Kindergarten
(Ages 4–5): February 4, 2025 at 3:00 PM

✍️ Model Classroom for 1st Grade
(Ages 5–6): February 6, 2025 at 3:00 PM

This session is for children preparing for Senior Kindergarten. We will start with a circle time, where children participate in activities for communication and collaboration. Then, we’ll move on to learning centers to explore:

  • Literature – their first encounters with letters and words in both Czech and English,

  • Mathematics – fun games with counting and shapes,

  • Science – discovering the world around them,

  • Art – a creative space to express their imagination.

The session will last 45 minutes, and parents are welcome to stay in the classroom with their child. There will also be a short time afterward for any questions you may have.

Do you have a Future First Grader? Let them try out a real 1st-grade class! Children will begin with a short circle time and then they will try the lessons, where each of them will last approximately 20 minutes:

  • Literacy (ELA) – engaging activities with letters, words, and reading in both Czech and English,

  • Mathematics – interactive exercises to understand numbers and simple math games and concepts.

This session also lasts 45 minutes, and parents can stay with their child throughout the class. There will also be a short time afterward for any questions you may have.

🎈 Why Attend?

These events are designed to let your child experience what a day at Maple Bear feels like – how we teach, what activities we do, and how we engage with our students. Parents will get a feel for our classroom environment and see how their children respond to the activities.

This model classroom is not a presentation of the school – it’s purely a hands-on demonstration for children to try out the class.
